On the last weekend in September and first weekend in October, there are weekend festivals in honor of Oktoberfest featuring an opening parade, authentic German food, beer gardens, live music and folk dancing, children's activities and entertainers.

AIDS Walk San Diego

Precious Festa Little Italy

Holiday Bowl

The Holiday Bowl, played annually at Qualcomm Stadium, not only features the second place Pac-10 team and the third place Big 12 team, but also showcases the largest ceremonial American Flag in the United States.
